+ What is Mobile Dog Grooming?

Mobile grooming is a professional service, self-contained in a mobile unit that arrives at your home or office to take care of your dog’s grooming needs. A stress-free environment where your dog will always have a personalized one-on-one service with the same groomer available. Mobile dog grooming is preferred by most of today’s busy dog owners. The convenience for you and the exclusive attention for you and your dog makes it a much more desirable alternative to your average storefront salon.

+ WHAT IS YOUR SET UP LIKE?

Our mobile salon is a custom built, 2023 Ford Transit 350 Extended Cab High Rooftop conversion. It's a state-of-the-art luxury salon on wheels, offering full-service grooming for dogs up to 50 lbs, delivered right to your doorstep! Our salon features a spacious stainless steel bathtub with heated water for a comfortable bath experience. Additionally, our hydraulic grooming table ensures the utmost comfort, especially for senior and larger breed dogs. Our rooftop AC unit keeps dogs safe and at a relaxing temperature throughout their grooming sessions. We pride ourselves in using only top-of-the-line grooming products and tools. We strive to offer the latest in what the grooming industry has to offer.

+ WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN BOOKING AN APPOINTMENT WITH US?

You can expect nothing less than a positive experience from us. Our mission is to provide the highest quality dog grooming and create an exceptional experience for both human and dog. We exclusively offer comprehensive services as listed. Our appointment scheduling process starts with detailed inquiries about your dog's health, grooming history, and your desired grooming outcomes. During your initial appointment, we conduct a thorough consultation examining your dog from nose to tail. We will further discuss your grooming expectations and go over any additional requests or concerns you may have. We will also do our best in replicating a haircut you have in mind or a photo.

+ HOW LONG DOES THE GROOMING TAKE?

Every dog is different due to their dog breed, size/weight, coat condition, temperament, and if there’s any special handling required. The grooming process can take anywhere from 45 minutes, to up to 2 hours. Severe matting, flea and tick treatment, and any additional/special add ons will take longer with additional fees. Your dog is shampooed and conditioned with high quality products. Then, we hand dry rather than cage dry. This process takes longer, but it is part of our personal hands-on care. We take our time and pride ourselves on giving your dog our undivided attention.

+ HOW OFTEN SHOULD MY DOG BE GROOMED?

All of our clients are recommended to a timely maintenance grooming schedule. We can set your dog up with a grooming appointment every 2, 4, or 6 weeks. For dog’s with a skin issue, we recommend grooming more often depending on the severity of the case. For puppies, we recommend grooming as soon as possible after they receive their shots. Ideally, a bi-weekly maintenance schedule for a bath and tidy for the first 6 months, so we can train and work with your puppy on getting them used to grooming.

+ WHAT IF MY DOG IS MATTED?

Unfortunately, dogs do get matted from lack of brushing. We offer a light dematt service for small tangles up to 30 minutes with a minimum charge of $30. For severe matting, we will use a short blade to shave down. This process is tricky and require a lot of time and care. There will be an additional $30 to $75 fee depending on the severity of the matting. Read more about matting and where matts are commonly found here.

+ DO I NEED TO BE HOME WHEN YOU COME TO GROOM MY DOG?

Yes, you do need to be home for your dog’s first appointment with us. We want to get to know you, your dog, and have a consultation about the grooming. If you feel comfortable after a few sessions with us, you may inquire about our Key On File Service (In/Out Home Access). This option is to leave a keypad or garage code for us to enter the home. Sometimes, grooming can be as long as 2+ hours depending on the services, dog’s behavior, and your dog’s coat condition. We understand emergencies can happen. If you are not home or need to leave, please let us know, so we are aware of the situation.

+ WHY DOES MOBILE GROOMING COST MORE THAN SHOP GROOMING?

Mobile grooming offers so many advantages to you and your dog, but it does cost more than getting your dog groomed in a traditional grooming salon. Since mobile grooming offers personalized, one-on-one service, we can only work on one dog at a time and service a limited number of dogs in one day. Mobile grooming is not a high-volume business, but rather it is a luxury service designed to reduce the stress of grooming on your dog and to be a convenience and time-saver for you.

+ CAN I SEE THE INSIDE OF YOUR VAN

Absolutely! We are very proud to show off our custom built mobile grooming van and will be happy to give you a tour when we arrive for your appointment. We just ask for privacy when we are grooming your dog.

+ CAN I BE IN THE VAN WITH YOU WHEN YOU GROOM MY DOG?

In our experience, this is usually not a good idea. We ask for privacy while we groom your dog as seeing their parents can be a distraction and make the grooming difficult and unsafe to complete. There may be some occasions where the dog’s owner will be called upon to help calm the dog during certain parts of the service, but generally the grooming should be a one-on-one experience between the dog and the groomer. Safety and well-being of your dog is our priority!

+ WHAT AREAS DO YOU SERVICE?

We are based in Chino Hills, CA and currently provide services in Chino Hills and the neighboring cities. These cities include: Diamond Bar, Walnut, Rowland Heights, Brea, and Pomona. If your city is not listed, you may contact us and ask for further accommodations. However, a travel fee is required and will vary depending on how far you are away from us. If you are outside of Chino Hills, travel fees start at $25 and can vary depending how far you are from us.

+ DO YOU USE OUR ELECTRICITY AND WATER?

No. Our mobile grooming van is fully self-contained with plenty of fresh water and an inverter system with solar that powers the entire unit. We are equipped to perform all services a salon can offer. All we leave behind is a fresh, clean, and happy dog.

+ WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

We understand that life happens and are more than willing to reschedule in case of emergency. Deposits are non-refundable. We are required to keep a valid credit card on file for cancellation purposes. We require at least 48 hours notice for cancellation purposes. Less than 48 hours will result in 50% of the service fee charged to the card on file. Less than 24 hours or same day cancellations will result in 100% of the service fee charged to the card on file. All cards are secured safely through Square on file and are completely encrypted for your safety. If we arrive at your house and you are not there, we will wait no more than 15 minutes and will make two attempts to contact you. Afterwards, the cost of your dog's groom will be charged to your card on file or invoiced to you and is due upon receipt. You agree to pay these charges if a late cancellation or no show occurs. Chronic cancellations (more than 2 late cancellations or 2 no shows in a calendar year) will result in you being taken off our client list. Also, If last minute cancellations become a regular occurrence then you will be removed from the client list.

+ WHAT KIND OF PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

We have a comprehensive range of professional grade, luxury shampoos and conditioners. These products are salon quality, safe, effective, and keep your dog looking and feeling great. We are always keeping an eye out for the best the industry has to offer, so our selection may vary throughout the year. A few of the brands we are proud to carry in our salon are Hyponic, Best Shot, Iv San Bernard, Nature Specialties, Bio-Groom, Tropiclean, Doglyness, iGroom, Melanie Newman, and Hydra. If you have a preference or a prescription shampoo you would like us to use instead, we are happy to accomodate.

+ DO YOU GROOM CATS?

No, not at this time.

+ DO YOU SERVICE APARTMENT COMPLEXES?

Yes we do! However, in our experience, servicing complexes can be tricky. We require a place to safely park the van for 1-2 hours, and it can't be in fire lanes/red zones. Another option is street parking nearby where we can walk your dog over to the van.

+ What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, credit cards, and/or forms of electronic payments that are accepted through the popular money transfer apps such as Venmo or Zelle. Payment is required at the end of service.
